2010 IISA CONFERENCE - SUN CITY
This was the first year SAUMA has attended the IISA Conference as the official industry representative of the Underwriting Managers in SA. Our attendance is part of our strategy to be "more visible" and to really expose our members to the rest of the insurance fraternity.
We believe the conference is a great platform of industry interaction, exposure to different product offerings and to share in the update of any insurance industry related information and legislation. This year was specifically focused on delegate response to specific matters affecting the industry and the topics were very relevant to the current changes in legislation or industry concerns i.e. Insurance Laws Amendment Act, the industry motor portfolio, and touched base on industry projects i.e. SAM and data connectivity which we in turn can pass on to our members keeping them informed.
We believe that our presence at the conference is once again a sign of our commitment as an association to make sure that we voice the opinion of the Underwriting fraternity and that we make sure that our members receive as much exposure as possible. Our intention is that we will continue to attend these industry conferences and to form stronger alliances with our industry partners and associates.
